I am a doctoral student in Multilingual Language Education at the Ohio State University, having obtained my Master of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, and my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language Teaching from Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey. Additionally, I am a holder of the Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA) from Cambridge University. Prior to enrolling in the program, I taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at the college level in Turkey for eight years. Currently, I hold the position of President of the Graduate Student Working Group for Foreign Language Research and Teaching (FLRT). My areas of research interest include language teacher education, language ideologies, educational sociolinguistics, Global Englishes, and multilingual language education. As a speaker of Turkish, I am also interested in the maintenance of Turkish as a heritage language.
