Leslie Huishan LI is a PhD candidate in Linguistics (English) at the University of Macau, Macau SAR China. She holds an MA in TESOL from Institute of Education, UCL. Her main research interests include academic (discourse) socialization, translanguaging/translingualism in language and higher education, and multimodal discourse analysis on social media. Her research is largely informed by decolonization and Global South frameworks. She is currently working on an ethnographic study on the “doctoral journey” of students in mainland China.
