Xinyu Li is a linguistic research master student in the Department of English, Linguistics and Theatre Studies at National University of Singapore. Her research interests lie in sociolinguistics, with a focus on language, gender, and sexuality. She researches on topics associated with East Asian popular culture, fandom, and social media. She is also interested in Raciolinguistics, language ideology, and language policy.
