I am a third-year PhD candidate in the School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne. My research interests include interactional sociolinguistics, style, stance and identity, and discourse analysis. I enjoy working with adolescents, so to understand these occasionally pesky (but loveable, nonetheless) teenagers through their linguistic habits for effective communication, I embarked on her PhD project exploring style and identity amongst Singaporean teenagers when they play online collaborative games.
