Nicole Dołowy-Rybińska is anthropologist and sociolinguist, Associate Professor in the Institute of Slavic Studies (Department of Linguistics) at the Polish Academy of Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in Cultural Studies at the University of Warsaw (2010). Her main research interest concerns the European minority languages and communities, minority languages transmission, maintenance and revitalization, including language policy-in-education and activism. She is currently leading a research project on Linguistic Diversity in Poland (2021-2026) and participates in the engaged research in Lusatia, Germany on the efforts on the Upper Sorbian language revitalization (held by Domowina – the umbrella organization of Sorbian people (2023-2026).
