Fengzhi Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Before joining XJTLU, she did her Ph.D. at the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Applied Linguistics, Birkbeck, University of London. Her fields of research broadly fall into: sociolinguistics; language in a globalized world & cosmopolitanism; multilingualism; linguistic landscape studies; language, space and identity; discourse analysis; linguistic ethnography.
