Linda Lei has recently received her PhD degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Her research interests focus on literacy development in Chinese as a foreign language. Her doctoral thesis investigates the character learning experience of beginner learners of Chinese as a foreign language in relation to their learning beliefs, learning strategies and character skills.
