A holder of a PhD in Inclusive Education with a bias towards Sign Languages and Deaf Studies. I am a Senior Lecturer at Zimbabwe Open University but currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of South African Sign Languages and Deaf Studies at the University of Free State in South Africa. I am attached to a dynamic collaborative project on South African Sign Language Place Names. I am also an external examiner at a number of universities, a reviewer of at least 5 international journals and associate editor for 2 international journals. My research interests are in sign languages, Deaf studies and Deaf education as well as sign language toponomy.
