I am a postgraduate Linguistics student and tutor at the University of Cape Town (UCT), in the Department of African Studies and Linguistics. In 2023, I am finalising a master’s thesis titled, "The Semantics of Emoji and Memes: Unpacking Meaning Making Among Social Media Users". In 2024 I will start my PhD journey at UCT, focusing on Kaaps.
