- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
I am pursuing my PhD in Iberian and Latin American Linguistics at the University of Texas-Austin. I study the sociolinguistics of both Galician in northwest Spain and Yucatec Maya in southern Mexico, both in contact with Spanish. I’m interested in linguistic and attitudinal differences along urban/rural lines, which I’m currently researching in Galicia through interviews, matched-guise tests, and participant observations.
