Having received a BA (2007-2011) in ELT, Minor Degree in German Language (2009-2011) and MA (2012-2015) in ELT from METU, I am currently a PhD candidate in ELT (Linguistics Track) at METU. My academic interests mainly lie within the domains of (critical) discourse studies, and sociolinguistics. I am specifically interested in spoken workplace discourse, leadership, humor, gender, identity construction and other aspects of workplace discourse, and (online) activism discourse.
